Inching Along

I'm a plodder. I've come to this conclusion after seeing the massive word counts some people are posting for NaNoWriMo. I thought I wrote with decent speed, but I now see that I'm methodical and deliberate and kinda slow actually.

2K a day. That's me. I putz along at my own speed while others post 5, 10, 15 thousand words a day.

That's okay.

I don't mind be the turtle.

Just so long as I still get my share of the lettuce.

Mary,

You are doing fantastic. Everyone works at their own speed. And some people don't have as many outside responsibilities as others.

You'll get your lettuce. :)

Keep rocking, my fellow Victorian-era writer!

I feel you, sister. I'm desperately slow, too. Like glacier-slow. In the past few weeks I've come to realize the only thing that matters is to just keep going and quit freaking out if my writing stinks. There's time later to rewrite.

2K is my goal too. I slacked off a bit yesterday but I'd built a little cushion on day one so I'm still on target. We'll get out lettuce, too. :)

Just as long as we all get our noms!

Glad it isn't just me. I see these folks with 25K already.

I don't usually write this fast - the story just started pouring out. However (and there's always a however) it's slowing up now... Yikes...

But, yes, we'll all get our noms! :)

Lettuce! Noms!

I can haz snack now? This post made me very hungry, Mary.

Slow? Debateable, imo. Methodical? I think that can be a very good thing. Of course, I'm biased, since I usually like to work that way myself.

This NaNo, I'm just letting all the ugly hang out. Woooot!

I guess this one seems slow because last year was a completely different type of novel and a different type of writing.

Hmmm.

I think there is another blog post in this.

And yes, we shall all have noms!
